In Rwanda, a mandatory community service called Umuganda includes road cleaning, mowing, and trimming street trees each week(References Umuganda). As a result, roads look relatively clean for Africa. There is little trash, and even unpaved roads often have neatly cut grass.
In Kigali, larger roads have many motorcycles. Unlike Uganda, cars drive on the right. Plates are slim and can be yellow or white.

MTN and airtel, Rwanda’s mobile carriers, set up umbrella kiosks in many places. Their logos also appear around town. These kiosks serve like ATMs for mobile money(References Rwanda and cashless payments (JP)). They also operate in Uganda and Ghana.
