How to Distinguish
- Country-code top-level domain is .me
- The official language, Montenegrin (Црногорски језик), uses the Cyrillic alphabet
- License plates have a blue strip on the left and a national crest in the center, creating a subtle red accent
- Black guardrails are common in mountainous areas and many appear rusty
- StreetView tiles often contain image cracks (by plonk it )
Signs you can find

Montenegrin plates carry a blue band on the left and a crest in the middle, giving the plate a faint reddish tint. You will still see plain white plates as well.

Expect white, jagged rock faces . Because neighbouring countries share bollard styles, double-check for cracked imagery or a red spot on the plate.

Many mountainous guardrails are black and heavily rusted. Non-black guardrails do exist , and angular rails may appear near the Bosnian border .
