The national oil company ANCAP operates most of the fuel network, so its stations are ubiquitous (参考文献 ANCAP - Uruguay). In Argentina, the comparable state company is YPF.
The Google car generally appears black. Within South America, a black car is virtually unique to Uruguay —but there are exceptions, so double-check other clues.
Simple fences and dirt tracks are also present but are less decisive—use them alongside the car color and signage.

- Near Cabo Polonio the black Google car is absent—do not place it outside Uruguay.
- Isla de Flores is covered on foot and features a prominent lighthouse (参考文献 Isla de Flores).
